On 13th April 2019, around 1570 participants coming from around Malaysia joined the Malaysia Surfcasting Tour 2019 which held at Pantai Bisikan Bayu, Tok Bali, Kelantan. This is the second leg of the tour, where the first tour was held at Pantai Puteri, Malacca. Malaysia Surfcasting Tour 2019 – Kelantan was organized by Tourism Malaysia Kelantan, collaboration with Wak Jali Event Management, and sponsored by Igloo and Adabi.
The competition started sharp at 8.30am and 2.5km of Pantai Bisikan Bayu was full with surfcasters. The fee for the competition is RM80 for each fishing rod. This is the biggest surfcasting competition which was ever held in Kelantan.
Mat Dahab Ismail, 64 years old from Kota Bharu, Kelantan, caught 8.27kg of stingray had won the competition and brought home of cash RM70,000. Second place is Rohaizat Abdul Shukur from Bukit Rambai won the prize of cash RM12,000 and third place is Muhammad Ridhuan Abdul Aziz from Pasir Puteh, Kelantan won the price of cash RM5000.
